RECYCLING
Recycling is far more important than most people are inclined to believe. We can never do just one thing. This is the first rule of ecology everything is connected. So anytime we do anything to protect the natural environment, such as recycling, we are not doing just that one thing. What we choose to do or not do to protect the environment affects everything.
Which is why 3 years ago, we started working with our suppliers to find materials and fabrics from recycled and sustainable sources that we could offer to our clients.
Xcel Bespoke are very proud of our work so far and we are able to offer recycled fabrics for almost all types of packaging, clothing, and uniforms. Should you have an interest in providing a uniform that is made from recycled fabrics please do not hesitate to contact us.

OUR RECYCLING PROCESS
POLYESTER RECYCLING PROCESS

Our exclusive, recycled product range is made from processed recycled from PET bottles. All bottles are cleaned, sorted before crushing, de-polymerisation, re-polymerisation, melting, spinning to recycled fibre.

Post-consumer plastic bottles are returned for recycling through local councils or private recycling organizations
Bottles are then baled and shipped to a rPET GRS certified recycling facility
A floatation and separation process removes the caps and labels from the bottles, as they are made of plastics with different characteristics and need to be recycled differently
Yarns are then pulled from the melted polyester. This results in a clean BPA free, valuable and recycled raw material perfect for the textile.
After being washed in hot water, the flakes are melted
The plastic bottles are then processed using a mechanical Bale Breaker that chops the bottles into smaller flakes

Raw filament yarns are then spun into yarn which are then woven into rPET fabric
That rPET fabric is then used to create XCEL Bespoke clothing and products that are designed exclusively for you
RECYCLED MATERIALS FROM UNIFORMS TO BAGS
Xcel Bespoke have developed many different types of recycled materials, which has been at the forefront of our global strategy. We have been deeply involved with all of our materials suppliers within the eastern Asia hub.
Xcel Bespoke has been producing recycled product in the millions since 2017. Every brief we work on is provided with both recycled and non-recycled solutions. We are proud to say that over 70% of all products we make are now made with recycled materials.
We also provide our clients with the ability to improve their carbon footprint by offering and managing the products lifecycle from start to finish...to ensure they do not end up in landfill, together with full transparent certificates from the start of the products life to the end.
RECYCLING
We ensure that all of the used and unwanted product that has reached the end of its lifecycle can be returned back to us from our client's outlets or warehouses so that they do not end up in a landfill. We have worked with various recycling companies, that can take all types of different materials. The plants can cater for both large and small scale recycling that end up fully shredded, which is then sold back into the market for a new life to be made into many different products and materials.

OUR ACTIONS
TACKLING PLASTIC POLLUTION

It is our wish that all the garments we produce for our clients will eventually be made from recycled fabrics. Help us achieve this aim by letting us create your future garments from our vast range of recycled materials.
Below you will see images of a few of the garments we have manufactured from recycled materials.

SUSTAINABILITY & RECYCLING
Xcel Bespoke are proud to be ISO9001 and ISO14001 accredited and work very hard to ensure that our carbon footprint in the UK is kept as low as possible.
Due to the environmental controls that have been put in place both in China and Bangladesh, we work with our factories to ensure that all effluent waste created in the manufacture of the garments is disposed of/recycled correctly.
All of the dye houses we use clean and filter all dirty water so that it can be put back into the water system or re-used at a later date.
We try to ensure that our carbon footprint is kept to a minimum by working with our shipping departments/agents to ensure we consolidate each container we dispatch.
Where ever possible we ship containers directly to the markets, i.e. Canada, Australia and Europe to reduce our carbon footprint as well as reduce production timings.
We also work very closely with our clients to ensure the timelines we are working too ensure we do not have to air freight.

Xcel Bespoke are committed to ensuring that everyone working within our supply chain, is provided with a fair wage and working environment that meets our specific CSR values.
Social compliance and responsibility is the backbone of our business, we have worked hard to ensure that all areas of our supply chain from raw material to delivery, meet the high social standards we and our clients expect.
We understand that not every factory we work with will pass an ethical audit the first time. Our QC teams understand this and work closely with the factories to bring them up to an acceptable standard.
Xcel Bespoke invests and provides continuous support with its key suppliers, to ensure that the staff are supported, motivated and have a clean and safe environment to work in every day!
